imagesThe holiday season is approaching and for many of us that means it’s time to get the gift knitting started! There are some great new knitting patterns out this week that are quick, easy, and beautiful. Take a look:

  • The Via Toscana Collar by Franklin Habit is so elegant and beautiful. This would make a perfect gift for a mother, mother-in-law, or any elegant lady on your gift list. It is designed in Mrs Crosby Ombra della Sera, a beautiful cashmere worsted weight yarn.

  • Quindici by Casapinka is an asymmetrical shawl in three colours. It’s very pretty and looks like a quick knit with the various colour and stitch changes. It’s perfect for any of the women on your list!

  • Hats make great gifts too and Thea Colman just released two new hat patterns: Daisy’s Hat and Buck’s Hat. Both hats are slouchy. Daisy’s Hat uses cables and lace and Buck’s uses cables and texture. Take your pick – or make both!
  • Here is a pretty cowl by Clare LakewoodAlameda. This pattern is a little more than a quick knit as it includes colourwork, a provisional cast-on, and kitchener stitch. However, it is well worth the effort as the result is stunning!
  • And finally, if you have the time to commit to a sweater for Christmas, check out Jones by tincanknits. It is perfect for the dad, husband, or son on your list. It’s a classic cardigan and it’s worked in a DK yarn.
What other giftable patterns have you noticed this week?
