This beautiful worsted weight shawl pattern, the Moody Shawl, is available now! It uses the same three colours as the Moody Cowl along with the same colourwork pattern, making it interesting and quick to complete. You will work this triangular shape from the top down with increases placed at each edge and on either side of the centre spine.

This is a great fall or winter shawl because of the heavy weight yarn and dense stitch patterns mixed in with open stitch patterns. The triangular shape is easy to wrap either over or under a warm coat.

You’ll need three colours of worsted weight yarn. The pattern is written for three colours of Black Cat Custom Yarn Let’s Get Worsted. The colours shown here are Void Talon, Foundry, and In The Navy.

I also knitted one in Sweetgeorgia‘s Superwash Worsted in Tumbled Stone, Bison, and Cocoa:

The Moody Cowl pattern is also available. I made my matching Moody Cowl (below left) with the same three colours of Black Cat Custom Yarn Let’s Get Worsted. I also made another Moody Cowl in Peace Fleece Worsted in Palomino, Wild Mustard, and Chestnut.
