This week I’ve been noticing knitting patterns with interesting yarns – luxury fibres, mini skeins, bright colours…. So much to look at!
- The LINEAR Collectionby Ruth Garcia-Alcantud is a collection of three sweaters, a shawl, and a pair of socks all designed in Malabrigo yarns. All of the patterns and the yarns used are beautiful, but I have to say that Parallel Planes is my favourite. It’s a pretty flared cardigan designed in Rios. Patterns may be purchased individually, or the whole collection can be purchased as an ebook.
- Eddy by Elizabeth Doherty is a great cowl designed in Quince & Co Piper. Also from Elizabeth this week is Trickster, a cute hat with a cable-like pattern achieved with slipped stitches.
- Mary Annarella published two more cowls this week with a triangular theme. Circulation and Slanted Circle are geometric, colourful, and make great use of mini skeins.
- I love the texture of the smocked stitch in Jill Zielinski‘s Smocked Mitts and Smocked Scarf, both designed in Plucky Knitter Snug Worsted.
- And finally, take a look at Grateful Moments by Sylvia Bo Bilvia. This beautiful shawl is designed in another Plucky Knitter Yarn. This one is Oxford. I love the texture and the pretty wavy stitch pattern.
If you happen to have any of these yarns in your stash, these are all great pattern ideas!
