Michelle Lovely Eyelets is a another sideways asymmetrical, or bias, shawl that is very similar to 8 Simple Stripes. It is also worked from one corner point to the opposite edge in garter stitch. The same increase (kfb) and decrease (k2tog) stitches are used to create the triangular shape. Lovely Eyelets, however, finishes with a pretty eyelet panel on the final edge.
This shawl is designed in Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light and is shown here in Whiskers. Choose a tonal, variegated, or any hand-dyed fingering weight yarn and the garter and eyelet stitches will show off the colour beautifully.
