This end-to-end garter stitch shawl pattern is a top seller. Sweet Summer Shawl is a light and airy all-season shawlette and it’s the perfect summer project. Worked in one piece from end to end, the garter stitch body is quick to knit and the lace edging pattern is easy to follow. The shawlette is completely reversible. A single skein of fingering or sock yarn is all it takes. The pattern is adjustable to the amount of yarn available.
Yarn:
Malabrigo Yarn Sock (100% superwash merino wool; 440 yd [402 m]/3.53 oz [100 g]). 1 skein. Shown in Lettuce.
SweetGeorgia Yarns CashLuxe Fine (70% superwash merino wool, 20% cashmere, 10% nylon; 375 yd [340 m]/4 oz [115 g]). 1 skein. Shown in Mist.
Needles: US size 6 [4.0 mm] needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
Finished measurements: Approximately 15 inches (38 cm) wide at middle point and 66 inches (167 cm) long, after blocking.
Skills required: Increasing and decreasing; knitting lace: k, k2tog, yo; blocking lace.
