This fun Summer Lace Shawl has a light and airy body made up of eyelet rows and a cute zigzag pattern along its edge. It is suitable for any season but perfect for summer with its open, airy lace pattern. It is completely reversible and requires only one skein of yarn. Worked in one piece from end to end, the lace edging is worked along with the garter stitch body. Size is adjustable, based on how much yarn is used.
Yarn: Red Sock Blue Sock Yarn Basic Sock (75% merino, 25% nylon; 460 yd [421 m]/3.53 oz [100 g]). 1 skein. Shown in Violetta.
Needles: US size 6 [4.0 mm] needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
Finished measurements: Approximately 15 inches (38 cm) wide at middle point and 72 inches (183 cm) long, after blocking.
Skills required: Increasing, decreasing, knitting lace, blocking lace. Stitches used: k, p, sl1, k tbl, kfb, k2tog, ssk, p2tog, p2tog tbl, yo.
