The Diamond Purl Cowl pattern uses only knit and purl stitches to achieve a textured look. Wide ribbing and purl stitch ‘diamonds’ provide visual interest. This one skein project is quick to knit in worsted weight yarn on a circular needle. Choose a beautiful colour and you’ll have a pretty cowl in no time at all!
Yarn: Red Sock Blue Sock Yarn Superwash Worsted (100% superwash merino wool; 200 yd [183 m]/4.06 oz [115 g]). 1 skein. Shown in Olive.
Lichen and Lace Superwash Merino Worsted (100% superwash merino; 200 yd [183 m/4.06 oz [115 g]). 1 skein. Shown in Linen.
Needles: US size 7 [4.5 mm] 16” [40 cm] circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge.
Finished measurements: Approximately 12 inches (30 cm) tall and 13 inches (33 cm) wide laid flat, after blocking. Total circumference is approximately 26 inches (66 cm).
Skills required: Knitting and purling in the round. Stitches used: k, p.
