The Bulky Lace Cowl is another quick and easy fall or winter accessory. It uses the same easy to memorize lace stitch pattern as the Lengthy Lace Scarf with only knit, purl, yarn over, and k2tog stitches. It works up quickly with bulky yarn on a large size circular needle. It’s a great project to make as a gift or to just keep for yourself! This cowl is worked in the round in one piece.
Yarn: Malabrigo Mecha (100% pure merino superwash wool; 130 yd [120 m]/3.53 oz [100 g]). 2 skeins. Shown in #141 Dewberry.
Needles: US size 11 [8.0 mm] 32” [80 cm] circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Finished Measurements: Approximately 28 inches (72 cm) long and 12 inches (30 cm) wide laid flat, after blocking. Total circumference is approximately 56 inches (142 cm).
Skills required: Knitting in the round, binding off loosely. Stitches used: k, p, yo, k2tog.
Pattern includes notes, a list of abbreviations, and the stitch pattern is both written and charted.
