The Beautiful Blossoms Shawl is another pretty little garter and lace triangular shawl that’s perfect for one skein of beautiful fingering weight yarn. It makes a great light and breezy summer knitting project. It’s an end-to-end shawl that starts with just a few stitches at one end, increases to the deepest point at the middle, and then decreases back to just a few stitches.

The body of the shawl is garter stitch. The lace edging is wide and this makes the shawl nice and deep.

You can use any amount of yarn to knit this shawl because it’s worked from one end to the other. Weigh your yarn before starting. Then use half your yarn for the increase section and half for the decrease section.

It is shown here in one skein (385 yards) of Ancient Arts Yarns Socknado. The colour is Apple Blossom.
