The Tumbling Waves Shawl is a pretty little garter and lace triangular shawl that’s perfect for one skein of beautiful fingering weight yarn. It is a sideways triangular end-to-end shawl. It starts with 5 stitches at one end, increases to the deepest point at the middle, and then decreases back to 5 stitches.
You can use any amount of yarn for this shawl pattern. Weigh your yarn before beginning and divide the weight in half. Use half of it to knit to the middle of the shawl. Then use the other half to knit to the end. You can divide your yarn into two balls if you wish. Or use a scale to keep checking until you reach the halfway point.
I used one skein (400 yards) of Lichen and Lace 1ply Superwash Merino. The colour is Beach Glass.
