Gradient yarn kits are very popular lately and this beautiful Cloudy Skies triangular shawl makes great use of four fingering/sock weight gradient colours. It was originally designed in Red Sock Blue Sock Yarn’s Gradient Adventures kits which is unfortunately no longer available. Any other gradient yarn or kit will work just as well.

Worked from the top down, the pretty lace pattern is used consistently throughout while the colours change. The lace pattern is easy to follow. Wrong side rows are purled. This is a fun and rewarding knitting project.

Any amount of yarn may be used as long as you finish at the end of a 12 row lace repeat. Use a gradient kit, gradient skein, a combination of your own choosing, or a single colour. The possibilities are endless!
