The Sustenance Scarf is the second pattern in my Winter Comfort Collection. It is designed in Cascade Yarns Eco Cloud in a beautiful undyed brown – Otter. This merino and alpaca blend is unfortunately discontinued now. Any worsted or aran weight yarn will work though, and a merino/alpaca blend will get the same result.

The k1, p1 ribbing pattern of this scarf makes it soft and squishy and the aran-weight yarn and large needles make for a quick project. Purl rows break up the ribbing and alternate on each side adding visual interest.

This is a great cold weather accessory with its squishy warmth, long length, and loftiness.

Purchase The Sustenance Scarf Pattern:

The Winter Comfort Collection is a collection of 5 cold weather accessory patterns in neutral colours. It also uses natural fibres. I designed these accessories in cozy and soft yarns, in earthy colours, and with simple and clear instructions. Be sure to check them all out!

Other patterns in the collection include:

Contentment Cowl – a one skein worsted weight cowl.
Gratification Hat – a one skein hat, also in worsted weight.
Indulgence Wrap – a DK/sport weight lacy shawl/scarf.
Tranquility Infinity Scarf – a long infinity scarf/cowl in worsted weight yarn.
