I’m catching up this week after being away. Lots of great new knitting patterns are out there and I’m noticing beautiful colourwork right now. Here’s what I’ve been looking at this week.
- Purl Soho’s Beautyberry Blanket uses two colours to create the look of purple berries in snow. The bulky yarn will make this a quick blanket to complete. And best of all, it’s a free pattern!
- Canadian designer Andrea Rangel published The Knitter’s Dude and The Little Dude. The adult version and children’s version of this Cowichan-like cardigan are both gorgeous!
- Another Canadian designer, Jenny Wiebe, published After the Ball, a cute striped cardigan.
-
Danzig by Justyna Lorkowska is a triangular shawl with colourful stripes.
-
Elbow River by Heidi Kirrmaier is another triangular shawl but this one uses wide stripes of colour to create a beautiful design.
-
Knit Me is a crescent-shaped shawl by Ágnes Kutas-Keresztes and it is worked in three colours. The bright colours that the shawl is shown in are delightful!
-
And finally, check out this collection from KnitPicks: Charmed: Whimsical Knitted Accessories. These colourful accessories are all really cute and great for gift knitting season. My favourites are the Harvest Boot Toppers by Faye Kennington and Holli Yeoh‘s Quadra Hat.
