Garnet Dreams is a cute little sideways shawl that is quick to knit and perfect for a beautiful skein of hand dyed yarn like this gorgeous Baah! Yarn La Jolla in Garnet. The garter stitch body will show off any pretty colour, variegated or solid. The border combines knit and purl stitches along with a pretty eyelet lace pattern. The easy sideways construction allows for any amount of yarn to be used, making it a great one-skein project.
Yarn: Baah! Yarn La Jolla (100% superwash merino wool; 400 yd [365 m]/3.53 oz [100 g]). 1 skein. Shown in Garnet.
Needles: US size 6 [4.0 mm] needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
Finished measurements: Approximately 14 inches (36 cm) wide at middle and 79 inches (200 cm) long, after blocking.
Skills required: Increasing, decreasing, knitting lace, blocking lace. Stitches used: k, p, sl pwise wyif, k2tog, kfb, ssk, yo.
