The Spring Rain Shawl is a lovely sideways shawl pattern that begins with 18 cast-on stitches, increases to the middle, and then decreases back down to 18 stitches. The leafy lace border is worked at the same time. One skein of fingering/sock yarn is all that’s needed. Any amount of yarn will work, actually. Just remember to weigh your yarn before you begin and while you’re knitting. Stop increasing when half the yarn has been used and then start decreasing as per the pattern instructions.

This shawl is designed in one skein of RainCityKnits Super Sock and is shown here in Charcoal Grey. This is a merino/nylon blend with a generous 463 yards.

Until August 5th, you can purchase this $5.00 USD pattern for 30% off with coupon code rain. Purchase via Ravelry: Spring Rain Shawl.
