There’s nothing better than a light and airy knitted shawl to wrap around your shoulders or neck on a cool spring day. The Simple Spring Shawl pattern is just the thing. This sideways garter stitch shawl is easy to work, completely reversible, and uses one skein of sock or fingering weight yarn. Actually, any amount of sock/fingering yarn may be used. Weight your yarn before starting, work the increase section until half of the yarn remains (weigh to determine when half the yarn remains), and then work the decrease section. The other great thing about this sideways shawl is that only 12 stitches are cast on to begin and then bound off at the end. So easy!

This shawl is designed in the gorgeous Sweetgeorgia Yarns Cashluxe Fine. It’s a merino/cashmere/nylon blend and it’s one of my favourites. It is shown in Botanical, a beautiful colour for spring.

The best part is that this shawl pattern is eligible for the LMD Spring Shawl KAL (more info coming tomorrow) and you can get it for 25% off now until May 4th with coupon code springshawlKAL. Shop here: Simple Spring Shawl.
