My sock pattern is finally finished! I am pleased with the design and the specific elements that I have worked hard to perfect – especially the transition from cuff to leg, the transition into the heel and foot, and the repeating cable pattern. I like that it is a classic cable design. A classic cable sock should be a staple in everyone’s knitted sock collection!

I have named this pattern Ocean Mist Socks because the cable pattern reminds me of the mist on the ocean and how it curls and twists through the rocks along the shoreline. Spending time on Vancouver Island has inspired me.

This pattern is moderately easy to knit. It requires knowledge of cables, but it’s a simple cable pattern. The pattern is interesting and quick to knit. The pattern is written for only one size, but it could be made smaller or larger with a different needle size. The cables and ribbing make it fairly stretchy.

If you choose to knit this sock, I look forward to your feedback!
